Fly a kite for AIDS

  • Dec 1, 2007 (Saturday), noon - 2pm
  • At Clover Point

Hosted by AIDS Vancouver Island & The Church of St. John the Divine.

When’s the last time you enjoyed the fun thrill of flying a kite? Why not do it for a good cause? And wouldn’t a flurry of kites gracing Victoria’s skyline, all for the same reason, be fantastic?

When a little boy in Africa lost his Mom to AIDS, he found the only way to feel happy and remember her was to fly his kite. Today, this little boy has inspired a global movement of awareness and positive action!

Come out on World AIDS Day (Saturday, Dec. 1st) and fly a kite to show support for those living with HIV/AIDS, those fighting this pandemic, and also to celebrate the lives of and remember those we’ve lost.

Family-friendly fun! Bring your own kite, or use one of our red ones – but please do come, and have some fun in a positive show of community solidarity.
